Young Adult Staff Director - Butare Rugenerwa
Hi, my name is Butare, and I’m from the Congo, Africa. I currently serve as the Young Adult Staff Director at CMC. I graduated from WT with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and was a member of the Track Team for all four years of my college experience.
I love being part of CMC, especially because of how inclusive it is. It's such a fun and humbling experience to be involved in such an amazing ministry. My favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths."This verse brings me peace because it reminds me that the Lord is in control, even when things don’t make sense to me. I can always lean on Him, knowing He will guide my path.

Young Women's Ministry Director - Jackie Ferrel
Hi! My name is Jackie Ferrel, and I am the Young Women’s Ministry Director for CMC. I am a Junior majoring in communication disorders at West Texas A&M University. Right now, my favorite verses are in Matthew 6, where Jesus tells us to seek first his kingdom and trust him for the rest.
"But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you."

I am an Animal Science master’s student at West Texas A&M, where I work as a veterinary technician and teaching assistant for Animal Anatomy and Physiology. I grew up in the small town of Grandview (south of Ft. Worth), but have lived in Canyon for five years now! I love reading, crafting and hiking with my two dogs!
John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
